Pam Sutton

The simple beauty of a wild sunflower, a quiet forest path, or a tiny tree frog – these are among my favorite subjects to paint. I’ve loved art since childhood. My parents always encouraged our creativity – often taking us to visit art museums and the studio where my dad studied oil painting.

After my kids flew the nest, I studied Fine Art at Northland Pioneer College in the beautiful White Mountains of Northern Arizona, and have been studying art and painting ever since.

I usually work in acrylic or watercolor and also enjoy pastel and colored pencil drawing. In addition to painting, I also love to quilt – and explore the creative possibilities of fiber art. To me, creative expression is an exciting, life-long journey of self-discovery, and of the natural world around us.

I’ve enjoyed teaching painting in Ahwatukee since 2010. Visit my online gallery at
