I grew up in the natural surroundings of southern California’s San Bernardino mountains. These mountainous environments and their native wildlife have had a profound impact on my creative mindset. I have always been inspired by the movement and grace one can find in nature.
I left the serenity of the mountains to study Fine art and Illustration at the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena and later, California State University Sacramento. After graduation I found myself , once again in the higher elevations backpacking with my sketchbook and watercolors through the many trails of our western national parks with her now husband Charlie. The towering pines, shady oaks and indigenous inhabitants she found in the North and South West has motivated and influenced a great deal of my work today. You can find my Illustrations in published books, privately commissioned portraits hanging on the walls of my clients homes and my paintings on showcase in local arts festivals and exhibitions in Phoenix.
These days you are more likely to find me at a park with my two kids and dogs rather than hiking the many trails of our national parks, I have found a quite little suburb in Ahwatukee to raise my family and share the joys of art with local budding artists through teaching.
